A small group of us managed to have a conversation with him backstage.
He was late + apologized but said that he was rattled emotionally because a close friend of the family just had a heart attack.
He said he had to take some extra time to compose himself but that he loves what he does and was ready to give us, what he hoped to be, his best performance ever.
And he did not disappoint! He was nothing but charming backstage and he completely rocked it on stage!
That has always stuck with me to this day because here’s the thing folks…life is always going to happen, no matter what.
But what’s important is we work through it with heart-centred integrity to deliver what we promised to our clients, customers + audience...

I’ve had several coaches over the years and one thing is true… I kick ass when I have a coach.
But alas I’m a stubborn woman.
A few years ago, I was contemplating hiring another coach but I was gearing up to launch some new programs. My expenses were adding up, and to save money I thought “Naw, I’ll “woman-up” and coach myself”.
