I was purging + rummaging through old photos yesterday and found this. My son was just born and my then photographer husband requested an impromptu pose to test a new innovative way to photograph people in the studio: digital! It was 1995 and it was a brand new invention + technology at the time where film was still being used in the industry. ie. you couldn’t see the photograph you’d just taken. I remember thinking that it was an amazing invention that was finally in the consumers hands! And the coincidence was I was also reinventing myself as the GIRL who I knew I was at the time vs the WOMAN I knew I had to be in order to be the mom I wanted to be for this beautiful boy. It was a pivotal time in my life that help me to gather strength for my next phase… being a single mama of...

Happy New Year! Let me ask you: Are you so completely sick to death of “New Year’s” emails, blogs and messages that are dominating your inbox that you want to gouge your eyes out or go running for the hills? I am. So much so, that I held off writing this. I kept thinking "No needs one more new year's message"!! (I suppose I’m an interesting mix of non-conformist and high school cheerleader) But… I HAD to do it. I can’t NOT discuss, (and give you support) when it comes to anything to do with “new beginnings”.  Why? Because it’s in my blood - and an integral part of how I want to show up in the world, and it’s my brand, AND… the simple fact that business (like us) is in a constant state of evolution and growth. (aka. new beginnings) Translation: We are always learning. Learning to do things better, more efficient, more in alignment with who we are...

What is an identity crisis – really? Most of us think of this as an issue that plagues only young adults who are first entering the world independent of parental support. With business, the primary culprit for the crisis is: Not knowing who your ideal customer is and why they buy from you Not knowing what you or you’re business is passionate about and what you’re mission is Not having strong branding that effectively reflects your business Not knowing how to get out of the vicious cycle of “not knowing” what to do next!   Sadly, I see so many talented entrepreneurs who fall short of their aspirations, due to a lack of clarity - Which is why I’m happy to say, I’m in the business of helping entrepreneurs find their coordinates, determining where they want to be and creating beautiful customized, kick-a$$ visuals that communicate your voice. Here's my own back story. Picture this...

Okay, now that I’ve got you singing Tina Turner in your head, you may be wondering WTH I mean by “Love” what you do.  After all, what we “do” isn’t “who we are”, so why is it important that we “Love” it. Can’t we just “Like” what we do and be just as happy? Right? Well - yes, and no (and, in that order). Let me explain… Regardless of what your occupation is, whether or not you’re employed, a small business owner or solo-preneur –  we all know we spend most, or at least half of our days working 8 hrs+, many of us 5+ days a week. Stating the obvious here - this a significant chunk of our time. Have you ever considered that by tapping into what you love, you’re unleashing unique talents that will create a more fulfilling career, life, + make you exponentially more money? And will even attract the right...
